Holiday programme

What happens at the Croft during school holidays

During school holidays the day programme is suspended and children are under the supervision of their parents, just as they are in the residential programme. Staff organise activities for the whole family.

Typically there are activity groups in the morning and the afternoon, with children and parents taking part in cookery, art, drama and music classes, football and other sports. We also run 'mellow parenting' sessions to help with behaviour management and various 'off site' events ranging from coffee mornings at a local coffee house to trips to the cinema.

The holiday programme provides an opportunity to work on family relationships and difficulties and to bring more enjoyment to family life. There is also a parenting programme for parents to attend.
